FX NETWORK HOSTS ATL PREMIERE OF NEW SERIES ‘ATLANTA’

The cast of FX’s newest series “Atlanta” came out Thursday night for a fabulous red carpet premiere. The private event took place at the 4D Theatre of the Georgia Aquarium and was packed with Atlanta media trying to get a photos and interviews with all of the stars.

“Atlanta” follows two cousins, with different views on art versus commerce, on their way up through the city’s rap scene; “Earnest ‘Earn’ Marks,” an ambitious college drop-out and his estranged cousin, who suddenly becomes a star. Atlanta native Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino stars as ‘Earn’ along with Brian Tyree Henry as his cousin ‘Alfred Miles’ along with LaKeith Lee Stanfield as ‘Darius’ and Zazie Beetz as Earn’s girlfriend ‘Van.’ Other cast members in attendance including Chris Greene, Freddie Kuguruand Candace B. Harris.

A number of other celebrities came out to support the premiere including Jermaine Dupri, DJ Skillz, D. Woods, Egypt Sherrod,DJ Fadelf, DJ Superstar, DJ Dime Piece,Amber Nash, London Jae, Five Mics andScotty ATL.  Janina Zione Gavankar, DJ Arie, Kawan KP Prather, Sincerely and Adreian DeAngleo Payne from the Minnesota Timberwolves were also present.
